Summary:
The present work is primarily a study that focuses on the issue of Carnivals and especially on the customs and traditions. As an object of study, carnival and the set of customs and traditions play a prominent role in shaping and promoting the social and cultural identity of the place, presenting elements of culture and preserving the historical elements of a place through their long duration in space and time. Folk events, both as a form of creation and as a form of expression of peoples, were to constitute the main part of the present study, in which events from both the Greek and the global space of social and historical action are presented. The theoretical background of this work, which includes the literature review of the key issues directly related to the topic of the work, is combined with the research proposal, which as a result of the aforementioned data of the literature review and scientific studies, expects to present a new perspective in the field of education, incorporating the design of educational programs.
