Methods: 98 patients suffering from allergic rhinitis participated. QoL evaluation was made by two generics [(Short Form-36 [SF-36], Beck Depression Inventory [BDI]) and two disease specific (RQLQ and mini-RQLQ) questionnaires. Symptoms evaluation was made by the Total 5 Symptoms Score (T5SS). Results: Internal consistency and test-retest reliability of both questionnaires were high. Convergent validity assessment showed statistically significant negative correlations of total RQLQ and mini-RQLQ with overall SF-36 score and positive correlations with BDI and T5SS. Discriminative validity demonstrated statistically significant improvement for all instruments and all domains after treatment. Females presented highly significant increased scores. Patients' age was positively correlated with total scores of RQLQ and mini-RQLQ. The clinically significant improvement after treatment was observed higher among females compared to males, while it was independent of patients' age. Conclusion: RQLQ and mini-RQLQ proved to be valid and reliable methods of assessment of AR-related QoL in pediatric population children, adolescents and adults. © 2021 Cambridge University Press.
