The proposed approach and material aims to scaffold the gradual familiarization of the trainees with Logo and the programming environment by applying in action the constructionist reasoning. The training material is characterized by a gradual increase in complexity and difficulty and exploits the gradually acquired experience of the trainees by providing them with tools that they are in position to use. In this paper the design principles of the training material, the activities and the preconstructed microworlds are described and some key points of implementation, pilot and experimental study are reported. Finally, conclusions are given and special issues of interest and future research plans are discussed. © Common Ground, Katerina Glezou, Maria Grigoriadou. ER -
