In this scoping review, we attempt to approach the topic of culture media and conditions from the practitioners’ perspective aiming to highlight, in a comprehensive fashion, important aspects regarding the options available, introduce points of debate and controversy, while maintaining the viewpoint of the practicing embryologist’s concerns.
