TODO - The Corinthian lamps dating from the 1st-3rd c. AD discovered at Delphi come mainly from
the necropoleis and some urban contexts systematically excavated at the 1990’s. They constitute
a direct proof of the commercial relations between Delphi and the capital of the province of
Achaia, Corinth. These relations stopped after the 3rd c. AD. The lamps presented here bear all
the technical characteristics of the type (form, fabrication process, clay); various scenes inspired
by the mythology and every-day life are illustrated on the discs. Fourteen names of potters
have been identified on the preserved bases. More than a century after a short publication by
Perdrizet and forty years after the fundamental articles on Corinthian lamps by Bruneau, the
presentation of this corpus under a new point of view gives us the opportunity for a renewed
discussion on the form, the workshops and the towns where this type was produced; it also
allows a reinterpretation of the decoration of several of these lamps.

Τα κορινθιακά λυχνάρια των 1ου-3ου αι. μ.Χ. που βρέθηκαν στους Δελφούς προέρχονται κυρίως
από τάφους και από αστικά κτήρια που είχαν ανασκαφεί συστηματικά στη δεκαετία του 1990.
Αποτελούν ένδειξη των άμεσων εμπορικών σχέσεων που συνέδεαν τους Δελφούς με την
πρωτεύουσα της Αχαΐας, Κόρινθο. Οι σχέσεις αυτές διακόπηκαν μετά τον 3ο αι. μ.Χ. Τα λυχνάρια
αυτά φέρουν όλα τα τεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά του τύπου (σχήμα, τρόπο κατασκευής, πηλό)
και διακρίνονται από μια σχετική ποικιλία στο διάκοσμο των μεταλλίων εμπνευσμένο από τη
μυθολογία ή την καθημερινή ζωή. Στις βάσεις που διατηρήθηκαν αναγνωρίζουμε τις υπογραφές
δεκατεσσάρων λυχνοποιών. Περισσότερο από έναν αιώνα μετά την πολύ σύντομη δημοσίευση
ορισμένων από αυτά τα λυχνάρια από τον Perdrizet και σαράντα χρόνια μετά τα δύο θεμελιώδη
για την έρευνα του τύπου άρθρα του Bruneau, εξετάζουμε αυτή την ομάδα υπό μία νέα οπτική η
οποία μας επιτρέπει να επαναδιαπραγματευτούμε θέματα μορφολογίας, εργαστηρίων και κυρίως
τόπων παραγωγής και να επιχειρήσουμε μια νέα ερμηνεία του διακόσμου τους.
