Digital technology in museums and archaeological sites, if appropriately designed, provides the potential to support groups and social interactions among their members. The design of digital applications for visitors has to date been geared towards the individual rather than the group, primarily because it is difficult to conceive and implement shared experiences with and around personal devices.
