Decision Making Methods and Uncertainty Modeling for the Development of a Roadmap for Future Home Networks
Summary:
In recent years there is a need for supporting broadband services in both home
and office networks. Given the increasing technological development, it would
be interesting to investigate the technical solutions and the possibility to
achieve high bit rate connectivity. Towards this end, this thesis aims to
investigate the development of a roadmap which will be the key for ensuring the
smooth development of future home networks and determine the most appropriate
technological solutions for the development of such systems.
This thesis aims both to contribute to a roadmap implementation in
next-generation home networks, based on multi-criteria decision making methods
and also study critical issues of uncertainty lurking in decision making
processes and may affect the final result. The study and the development of the
above lies on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and especially in
pairwise comparison method, integral part of many decision making processes.
