Magnetized and Relativistic Astrophysical Jets
Summary:
This Thesis analyzes the Relativistic and Magneto-hydrodynamic Jets that appear
often at the Astrophysics and special attention was given on the GRB and the
Collapsar Model. The jets under investigation belong at the usual astrophysical
limit of the stationary outflows. This is also the framework that analytical
and semi-analytical methods apply in order to construct the relevant models and
solutions. Our main motivation is the interpretation of the Rarefaction
phenomenon that it is being performed under two spatial symmetries. The
investigation of the planar flows allows the in depth interpretation of the
underlying physics and the specific solutions stand independently as a
generalization of the hydrodynamical ones referring on both the Newtonian and
Relativistic limit.
The axisymmetric flows are the final subject of this study and their
integration is being performed by an algorithmic schema, we built, based on the
characteristic curves of the system. The consistency of the results obtained
with the ones that the planar symmetric model provides are an important
confirmation of our solution. The comparison with the observational data and
the characteristic scales that the Collapsar Model requires encourages for
further successful applications
