Summary:
Adolescent delinquency is a psychosocial phenomenon associated with delinquency
of adults with significant negative consequences for individuals and societies
, physical , mental and social health . Gathers so growing interest in research
level worldwide and often studied in conjunction with the structural change in
social systems . Particularly employs policies of the school towards the
prevention and treatment as well, at this developmental stage the teenager
forming key relationships with important adults and peers . Understanding the
phenomenon today , from the perspective of ecosystem development model requires
focus on interrelationships , in addition to individual characteristics ,
within a socio / cultural environment , accepting the consequences of the
economic crisis , one of which is the large ftochopoiisi segments of the
population . Apart from the effort of deep understanding of the phenomenon ,
the aim was to present episcopal study may contribute to promoting principles
for a school that " contains " and not " exclude ", as it plays a role in
mediating factors that increase or decrease the resistance of young people
(generally or specifically those at risk for developing problem behaviors ) on
the selection -risk behaviors or adopting positive adjustment mechanisms .
As the school was not equipped with stable political strategies for prevention
of violence - or those that were shrink - teachers play an important role for
adolescents because they affect the school climate and the bond that develops
with the school. This paper investigated a) how to understand and perceive
aggressive , deviant or delinquent behaviors and b ) the promotion of social
and emotional skills to students contributes to positive management of the
phenomenon . The findings suggest that this process ensures not one controlled
mainly by external factors acting increasingly based on internalized beliefs
and values, to have self-control , to care and to care for others, to take
appropriate decisions and take responsible choices and behavior . These data
reinforce the cohesion and solidarity in family, school , community and
contributing to conflict resolution in relationships, reducing delinquency. A
descriptive pilot survey was carried out by teachers in the present work aimed
to investigate the needs , perceptions and attitudes in today in relation to
adolescent delinquency , in conditions affected by the economic crisis , given
the lack of studies in order to contribute to additional conclusions and open
issues for further research. The findings seem to reinforce the recent
international literature .
