Summary:
Initially, in the diploma thesis titled “malignant skin growths caused by the
sun radiation’’ there’s a reference to the anatomy of normal skin and the types
of cells on the epidermis.

Afterwards, the ways that the sun radiation harms the skin are mentioned, more
specifically the kind of the sun radiation which is more harmful and in which
way it acts and provokes mutations on DNA, as a result the cell multiplication
or the apoptosis are not done correctly.

Next, there’s a reference to the precancerous damages that are caused by the
sun radiation. In other words, how they are defined, their epidemiology, their
etiology and other incitement factors as long as they exist, the clinical and
the histologic image, the differential diagnosis from other skin damages which
are often confused and finally the medical treatment.

At last, in the same manner, there is an extensive reference to the cancerous
damages, as well as to the severity of each one, if they metastasize, which of
these have a worse prognosis and what re the percentages for survival after
proper treatment.
