Sexually transmitted disease are diseases someone can get from sexual activity
that involves the mouth, anus, or vagina.The cause of a sexually transmitted
disease can be either a bacteria,either a parasite,either a protozo,either a
virus or a fung.For Chancroid andGranuloma Inguinale no serious effects on the
baby is known.Chlamydia are concidered to increased risk of miscarriage and
preterm delivery.A pregnant woman with untreated gonorrhea may have an
increased risk of miscarriage or preterm delivery.Syphilis can easily pass on
to the unborn child.For pediculosis pubis and scabies
no serious effects on the baby is known . Trichomoniasis can increase the risk
of having a preterm baby. to women with a herpes outbreak usually is performed
a cesarean section to prevent the transmission of herpes to the newborn.
Mothers that get an hpv infection during pregnancy, may be treated after they
deliver. A pregnant woman infected with hepatitis B can transmit the infection
to her baby through the placenta.Pregnant women that have hepatitis C are more
likely tohave a low birth weight or a premature baby.Today transmission of HIV
infection to an infant is significantly reduced due to special treatment.
Infection by Candida Albicans doesn’t change the management of a pregnancy.
