Summary:
The purpose of this study is a spatial (county) and temporal (from 2008-2011)
analysis of health care supply and demand in Greece using the Q GIS open
source. The study of health care supply focus on hospital care (hospitals, beds
and staff) and health care demand focus on patients who used health care
services for environmental diseases. The greater the number and size of
hospitals, the greater the number of its staff and more sufficient the health
care services are. Indicators of health care supply vary depending on county
population. Health care demand vary depending on each diseases category
considered and its percentage.
