Risk Management via Information Systems
Summary:
Information system audit is essential due to the increasing dependence of
enterprises to their computer systems. An information technology project of big
size and complexity includes various risks that threaten the success of its
application. Aim of this thesis is the description of the techniques of
recognition and confrontation of likely risks. More concretely, we present all
stages of the risk management process: 1) risk assessment, 2) risk control
methods and 3) supervising the application of risk controls. The general
methodology of the analysis and management of risk consists of three basic
stages: the risk identification, the risk estimation and the risk evaluation,
followed by planning, resource management, control and supervision of the
management framework.
