Greek Zeolites - green waste compost uses
Summary:
In the present study, a composted material was produced, mainly from olive
leaves under mild conditions. The addition of a special biocatalyst from
leonardite (innovative product), rich in soil microorganisms affects decisively
the process. Addition of inorganic minerals, klinoptilolithos (zeolite) and
perlite accelerate, dramatically, the production process and improve the
physicochemical properties of the final product. The product was further
evaluated regarding its soil-conditioning and biofertilizing properties. The
results obtained are important for establishing a clean-up technology and the
product meets the demands for obtaining an ECOLABEL.
