Summary:
History of science and the history of the public sphere, seem to be parallel
lines which help us to understand science as an original social phenomenon.
Since Habermas monumental papers and until the recent scientific conflicts in
public sphere and since the “romantic” perception of scientists during
Enlightenment to harsh criticism that the public exercises upon state policies
that involve scientific matters, the field of conversation had always been
common, it was the public sphere. The rethinking question however is the
dynamics of this public conversation and the attitude of the citizens toward
scientific matters.
