Summary:
The effects of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation have occupied intensely
both the scientific community and the societyfor years. The aim of this
research was to further investigate the effect of ELF radiation both on the
cells and the whole organism (D.melanogaster).Briefly, it was observed
increased levels of free radicals. Thiw is propably the first effect of ELF on
cells after exposure at low intensity radiation emmitted from wireless
telephone. Moreover, this increase affects the homeostasis of cells, leads to
accumulation of oxidized proteins, reduces life expectancy and affects the
neuromuscular system responsible for walking and climbing.
