Recording and analysis of forest fire detection systems and their application in greece
Summary:
The thesis focuses on forest fire detection and the study of the detection in
Greece. More specifically, there is a detailed description on the technologies
used, the techniques and systems that exist and are used to detect fires in
general and forest fires in specific, and the way to use each one of them at
specific cases that could be applicable. There is a systematic occupation with
all the technologies used in forest fires and those that potentially could be
applied. The thesis focuses on the way they operate, the conditions needed for
their use, the information necessary to identify the features they offer and
especially the accuracy of each one of them regarding time tracking.
After studying all of the technologies and the systems, there is a careful
selection of some of them and combinations of them, in order to examine the
practical operation. There is a very detailed description of how the technique
passes from theory to practical embodiment. This method was used to study and
evaluate the various proposals presented in the form of investments. The main
criterion is the time accuracy within which the results range. It also studies
the dependence of modulation on some determinants, and the configuration of the
results of their influence. Finally, general conclusions on the results are
exported, and future development of forest fire detection service is proposed.
