Summary:
In this study, jetstream contribution to Mesoscale Convective Systems,which
occured in the Mediterranean region,is analyzed.The two Mesoscale Convective
Systems took place on 22nd February and 22nd November in Athens and Rhodes,
respectively.Atmospheric conditions which characterize the region of
Mediterranean are studied, accompanied with Airmass and Convection RGB
composites satellite images. The significance of the use of Airmass and
Convection RGB composites in short-term prediction is highlighted.
