Study of chemical parameters in underground water area of the river delta Pineios (Thessaly)

In this study, the quality of the waters collected from the surface of Pineios
river, as also springs and drillings nearby the river in Thessaly. Comparison
between the results of the sampling areas was conducted according to the
regulations and the maximum allowance limits. The studied spring waters were
characterized as suitable for human consumption, with minor exceptions probably
due to the seasonal human interferences. Also, regarding the studied drillings,
the groundwater is found to be unsuitable for human consumptions. Finally,
concerning the surface water of the river, the analyses that were performed
exhibited uniform results, similar with the springs, showing individual values
off the limits.
