Summary:
This thesis subject is the projection methods for the numerical solution of
linear systems. Initially we will mention some basic definitions of Linear
Algebra and mention the definition of induced norm table and properties. Also
we will refer to orthogonal vectors and subspaces.The second chapter will
analyze some projection methods. More specifically, we will mention basic
definitions and algorithms projection techniques. The third chapter will refer
to the Krylov subspaces method and specifically analyze the Arnoldi method and
symmetric Lanczos Algorithm.Finally, numerical examples used various projection
methods.
