situation perception analysis in self managed networks
Summary:
This postgraduate thesis aims to solve the problem of mobile broadband where
high densification (large number of base stations) applies. A series of
self-organizing and self-optimized mechanisms is evaluated for next generation
mobile networks. This thesis works on protocols defined by LTE-A and tries to
meet demands and needs the previous institutions and organizations have
documented.
Specifically a solution of load identification based on fuzzy logic mechanisms,
with the ultimate goal being the fair and efficient distribution of resources
for users, is demonstrated. While current and established solutions rely on
simple rules for load identification, this proposal introduces a revolutionary
solution with the help of fuzzy logic systems, where three parameters such as,
the number of users, the channel utilization and the packet loss are used as
input and cell load identification is the output. The algorithm will ultimately
provide other mechanisms with a process to distribute users more efficinently
based on the outcome of the fuzzy system.
