Summary:
Business Intelligence systems incorporate all these processes and technologies
that facilitate the export of data from other information systems, the
transformation and the analysis of the data. However the mere gathering of data
in a central repository is not sufficient to achieve the desired result. It
becomes obvious that a key component in this process is the common
understanding of data both by those who provide the data but also by those who
interpret and analyze them. The proposed solution to this problem is the
combined use of SDMX standard as way to cope with the management of metadata.
