Summary:
The purpose of this thesis is the study of underwater communications. In the
first chapter we take a brief historical overview of the evolution of submarine
communications as well as how they are influenced by the marine environment.
The second chapter will analyze various equations of acoustic waves and how
they can be used in the calculation of waves including all measured data. In
the third chapter we will refer to wave phenomena in the marine environment,
giving the basic acoustic equation (Equation D 'Alembert and frequency domain)
as well as the equation Helmholtz. The fourth chapter will analyze the long
wavelengths and how they propagate in water. The fifth chapter will analyze the
ad-hoc multi-hop underwater optical network monitoring in deep ocean waters and
will refer to general characteristics, in architecture as well as in software.
