Summary:
This thesis consists the first phytochemical study of the plant Hypericum
kelleri Bald.-Hypericaceae. It was studied the cyclohexane and methanol extract
of the plant using various chromatographic techniques: thin layer
chromatography, column chromatography (Sephadex LH-20 and silica gel 60),
centrifugal partition chromatography and high performance liquid
chromatography. 11 natural products were isolated and were identified using
UV-Visible spectrometry (UV-Vis), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass
Spectrometry: 4 new xanthones, a new and an already known depsidone, 3
flavonoid derivatives, one naphthodianthrone and one phenolic acid compound.
Desidones are identified for the first time in the genus Hypericum.
