Summary:
The subject of this thesis includes the design, construction and the creation
of the Green Chemistry website. The large amount of the gathered material was
organized and categorized in order to be classified in the best possible way,
resulting to an immediately understood navigation for the visitors.

Over 40 monographs, 20 experiments, 55 presentations, lectures, published 40
posters, 80 published articles and 10 individual monographs relating to the
introduction of Green Chemistry in Primary and Secondary Education were
gathered.

Another feature that was necessary to characterize the site is the uniformity
of the material, which was time consuming, while the characteristics of the
material are described, for a future material import. Authorized administrators
of the site, without special programming knowledge, can do the addition of the
material.

Finally, an essential feature of this site is its supporting interactivity.
Having blog features, the visitors' online dialogue with the authors, either in
the form of comments, or by automatically email sending, is enhanced.

In order to achieve all the above characteristics, the dynamic website design
was essential. Wordpress was used in which a theme (template) was installed.
The highest goals of this modified theme were both the achievement of
uniformity and secondly the implementation of the desired classification of the
material. Several additional programs were used for the modification. Some of
them are the following: Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, flash, acrobat pro,
PowerPoint, word, fileZilla.
