Smartphone application for tracking and monitoring individual in case of emergency

In the current thesis we discuss about basic application development methods
into smart phones, websites development and the interconnection between
smartphones and servers. For this purpose we are developing an application that
will detect a user's location who is in danger and that location is sent to a
server. Furthermore we raise the issue of our personal data security that we
maintain in our smartphone caused by the fact that the applications we install
request for some resources. Finally we get to some conclusions concerning the
effectiveness of the methods by which we receive the location of the device,
the need to be aware of the resources requested by each application and we give
some possible extensions and ideas for further development of the application
that we suggested in the current thesis.
