Μαθαίνοντας Προγραμματισμό μέσω του Προσαρμοστικού Εκπαιδευτικού Περιβάλλοντος ALMA
Languages:
Greek
Summary:
The aim of this thesis is the implementation of an alternative way of teaching
algorithms for
the second class of High School. In order to achieve this, we used the on line
platform of
ALMA (Adaptive Learning Models from texts and Activities -
http://hermes.di.uoa.gr:8088/alma3/index.php), which provides a personalized
and guided teaching. For the purposes of this thesis, we implemented the
educational material needed
for the instruction of algorithms, concerning the Control Structures – loops
and If
statements, according to the already existing educational material for the
course of “Introduction in Computer
Science”.
The ALMA gives the opportunity to support the student, aiming for the
understanding and
learning of each teaching goal, using texts and activities (as implied by its
name).
While developing this educational material, we participated in the teaching of
the
previously mentioned course in the 2nd Experimental High School of Athens,
gathering
information concerning the needs of the course, both from the teacher's and the
student's
view. Thereby, the appropriate educational material has been constructed, in
order to fulfill
the learning needs concerning the Control Structures, maintaining as well a
friendly
attitude towards the students and aiming to trigger their interest through the
alternation
among simple and more demanding activities.
