Summary:
The purpose of this thesis is to implement an Oblivious Download Protocol that
uses Asymmetric Fingerprinting and is at the same time Communication Optimal.

Having those characteristics, the protocol provides a scheme where a large file
stored in a server is transmitted to a set of users in a way that each user
obtains a different “version” of the file, that effectively works like a
fingerprint. If a “pirate” copy of the files leaks, the server can never
implicate innocent users. Moreover, if any (appropriately bounded) subset of
users collude to produce a “pirate” copy, it is always possible for the server
to prove to a third party judge the implication of at least one of them.

Such a protocol would be useful in cases where copyrighted content is
distributed and leakage of content’s copies is not allowed.

The implementation follows an earlier version of the published paper
«Communication Optimal Tardos-Based Asymmetric Fingerprinting» by A. Kiayias,
N. Leonardos, H. Lipmaa, K. Pavlyk and Q. Tang.
