Plenty of chemical are in daily contact with the human body, entering therein from several input sources negatively affecting health. The magnitude of the effect on the health of hazardous substances depends on substance itself but also by the individual exposed.
Workers at the hairdresser’s during the various tasks performed in the workplace are exposed on a daily basis and for many hours in chemicals that are more or less dangerous to their health. The analysis of the ingredients contained in the products used extensively in the areas of the hairdresser’s and the degree of risk helps workers and employers to take appropriate measures to protect the health of both the workers and visitors and, accepting treatment at these areas.
The use of gloves and masks by the employee, the existence and faction of ventilation as well or replacement hazardous products with less hazardous, combined with the proper training of the employee in terms of exposure to products of the hairdresser’s are measures that help to reduced exposure of workers to the various chemicals found in their workplace.
However, long-term contact during work, with chemicals found in the products of the hairdresser’s, can lead to a charge of health and occupational diseases such as skin diseases and respiratory problems that force the employees to be abstain from their workplace for several days during the year, or to remove them forever from the specific workplace.
