The present thesis examines the issue of expectations of the transition of students from Primary School to Secondary School. There was a research in which were involved 100 students of the sixth grade in Elementary Schools in Western Attica. For the research a questionnaire 18 questions was created for the estimation of students' expectations about their transition from Elementary to Secondary School for the period May - June 2016. Through the results we can understand that the school transition is difficult for the students of sixth grade of Elementary School because they experience anxiety about this and are presented to have high expectations of: Secondary School, teachers, peers, parents and also of their own selves. Overall, pupils expect to develop judgment and thinking through comprehensive lessons, to develop friendships with their peers and to make their parents proud of them and their school progress. In total, students expect to develop their critical thinking through a comprehensive teaching of lessons to develop friendships with their peers in order to avoid bullying while making their parents proud of them.
