Translated title:
The binding nature of a person's medical decisions about the end of his life
Summary:
This study addresses the issue of advance directives and attempts to find solutions that will allow the unable to consent patient to exercise its inalienable right to autonomy and dignity. Despite the explicit recognition of this institution by the national legislature, the problems with patients kept alive against their will, have not disappeared. The evolution of medical and legal culture today, however, makes imperative the need for clear recognition of the right of patients to binding formulation of their advance directives.
