Summary:
In this dissertation I analyze the comprehensive action that the European Union implemented at Western Balkans in 1989-2006.
In the first chapter I describe the process of the collapse of the Yugoslavia and analyze the peace plans that the European Union promoted in the area, also the viewpoint that the EU had as regards the collapse of the Yugoslavia.
In the second chapter I examine the actions that the European Union implemented at Western Balkans after the Dayton agreement especially the Regional Approach, the Stability Pact and the Stabilization and Association Process.
The European Union, apart from financial programs and institutional building programs, promoted the security of the Western Balkans through police and military missions, these actions are described in the third chapter.
