Summary:
Βullying is considered one of the most serious problems of the educational system today. The present essay aims to investigate; this phenomenon in the real settings of public secondary schools of the broader area of Athens; the overall awareness concerning school bullying; and the addition of more empirical studies to the existing bibliography. In this essay, I will cite the theoretical background of this phenomenon - as it has been defined by the global scientific community - as well as the results of the quantitative research study which was conducted in November 2015. The results highlight that bullying is a real problem in Greek public secondary education.
