Summary:
The objective of this study was to investigate the generation of scientific meanings with the use of the digital tools designed for particle physics, based on modern pedagogical and didactical theory’s. Additionally we investigated the interaction between students as well as their interaction with the digital tools. More precisely we investigated: a) Witch meanings students generate related to the concepts of modern particle physics with the educational software «Investigating the netrinos», b) The interactions of the subjects of the research with the designed software, regarding its functionalities, interface and feedback, c) Interactions between students in a cooperative framework that exploits microworld and modern pedagogical and didactical frameworks. The research methodology adopted for the purpose of compliance with these three dimensions is design-based research. The investigation was carried out on three distinct phases at 1st Experimental secondary school of Plakas. The amount of time devoted for this investigation was six hours and the participants sample consisted of twelve students of the 8th and the 9th grade, divided into three mixed groups. In the last part of this thesis, after the qualitative analysis (content analysis) of interactive interaction of students, conclusions on the results are discussed, as well as the recommendations for the further development.
