Summary:
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to investigate the views of primary school teachers on the management of cultural diversity.
Initially, the concepts of multiculturalism, interculturalism and diversity are presented, the education models adopted by the immigrant host countries from 1960 onwards are analyzed.
At the same time, a historical approach to intercultural education in Greece is attempted and reference is made to intercultural readiness and learning on the condition of respect and acceptance of otherness. The importance of intercultural communication is emphasized on the condition of respect for and acceptance of cultural diversity.
The survey was conducted in the prefecture of Attica in primary school teachers and according to the results, what was shown by the teachers of our sample are the following:

•Moreover teachers do not follow in a multicultural classroom, in relation to their intercultural readiness, the creation of appropriate teaching material (for foreigners, migrants, refugee students) as a strategy.
• Also they do not follow in a multicultural classroom, with regard to their intercultural readiness, in Individualized teaching (eg language) as a strategy
•Instead they follow in a multicultural classroom, in relation to their intercultural readiness, the creation of mixed groups of children as a strategy.
