Summary:
This work involves the investigation of the role of labor in survivors addicts. The matter at issue in this work is a research field of many studies, with reference to interventions aimed at improving the health of these people in order to reduce or even zero risk for relapse (Galea & Vlahov, 2002), including employment / work as a key element such intervention (Storti et al, 2011).
For the purpose of the analysis is initially a literature review of existing research body, showing the general part of the main research findings on the role of labor in survivors addicts. Then, it becomes empirical study through conducting quantitative research on a sample of 50 people, graduates rehabilitation program in order to test the hypothesis that unemployment is associated with depression, and depression associated with substance use and therefore associated with the risk of relapse.
As shows the analysis, respondents indicate moderate levels of satisfaction in all aspects that describe the quality of life, but seems to be satisfied with the support they receive from their friends. As to the level of depression, indicated a very slight depression forms from respondents. On whether the level of depression differs as demographics, the analysis showed that BDI depression scale differs only in gender and employment status. Finally, the analysis showed that the overall quality of life image depends on the level of depression.
