Original Title:
Translated title:
The external involvement of the students' body through action in teaching dramatic poetry and the creation of a game to enhance it: "The Catharsis"
Summary:
In a world that looks unstable, the role of the teacher is multidimensional. Thus, the teacher is often called upon to design pedagogical material to meet the needs of the class. The present work is a teaching proposal for the dramatic poetry, «Helen» by Euripides, of the 3rd class of Gymnasium, which aims at mobilizing teachers to use it in the school context and to produce their own educational material. More specifically, an educational game called «the Catharsis» was created which aims at the holistic engagement of students in teaching through body-action. Previously, a survey was conducted in «Helen’s» school manual to figure out if it is apparent through its proposed exercises to promote the external involvement of the pupils' body through action and to what extent.
