Summary:
The present dissertation refers to subject matters of Primary Education, with regard to the targets, the urge to provide Early Childhood Education to all children between the ages four (4) to six (6) and the introductory of the two-year compulsory Preschool Education. Preschool Education in Greece is a formal graded type of education, intergrated into Primary Education and functions according to the Ministry of Education. Succeeding the evaluation process of the existing Preschool Education structure, as designed by the Ministry of Education and Research, formed in the summer of 2016, this dissertation aims to offer a comparative assessment of the outgoing and the existing institutional framework, as well as to illustrate the problems that arise at a legislative level.
