Combined study of polymorphisms FSHβ (-211G>T) and FSHR (Ser680Asn) in women undergoing IVF/ICSI protocol
Summary:
The combination of the polymorphisms FSHB (-211G>T) and FSHR (Ser680Asn) was studied for the first time in the Greek population in women undergoing assisted reproduction techniques. The aim was to investigate their clinical value as predictive markers of ovarian response and outcome of the IVF/ICSI protocol.
One hundred and thirty-eight infertile women undergoing IVF/ICSI protocol were studied. Ninety-four fertile women who had at least one successful pregnancy in the past, acted as the control group of our study. Genotyping was performed using molecular biology techniques, followed by statistical analysis of the results.
