Summary:
The main purpose of the present study was to examine the role of nonverbal communication in kindergartens and took a view in relation to the methods according Differentiation. This research took place in two kindergartens in Athens, one in the centre of the town and the other in the south suburbs. This observation was conducted with a group of preschoolers between 3 and 5 years old. In the beginning we created teacher’s portrait and later on we observed their nonverbal communication according to the children. The data was collected by the observation that we made and the notes from them were gathered to special tables. The results showed us that non verbal communication is intense in kindergardens and also that the use of it, it is related to the beliefs of the teachers and the pedagogical methods that they use.
