Summary:
Our research aimed to find out how the children would interact when they were occupied with educational softwares, which consist of either open or close type. We investigated how the teacher’s interference could influence the lesson and the way of the children’s work. The research carried out in a nursery school, located in the centre of Athens, with 16 pupils in class. In the beginning of our research we attended some lessons in class. We planned two lessons and each lesson had two activities. The first activity of each lesson included an open software and the second one, a close software. Afterwards, the children’s talking classified and analyzed into ten talking categories and crucial occurrences. The survey data presented that the different softwares had differences. In the open softwares, the children had more qualitative interaction than the close ones, except from the kind of the teacher’s interference. Moreover, the children expressed their preference about the softwares. Additionally, the most important finding is that the teacher has to internalize a deep knowledge of his role and to be very responsible in his field of work. Finally, it is crucial the teacher work as a researcher in his career and he should continuously access and change himself.
