This study seeks to delve deep into the Kantian duty of forgiveness, in an attempt to understand how the German philosopher perceives the notion of forgiveness and therefore how the aforementioned duty interrelates with the Kantian moral philosophy. The conclusions of this analysis will enable us to understand the necessity of political forgiveness, and support its crucial role in light of the Kantian duty.
