Summary:
Alki Zei and Zorz Sari
These two ladies of after war juvenile and adolescent prose into juvenile and adolescent Drama.
( Original play and theatrical adaptations )
Performances for children have always been an important part in Drama which has been developed in a particularly interesting way. At the end of the 20th century the most crucial advancements of juvenile Drama take place. It has been a new period for Drama plays and this type of stage, since professionals with experience on the field show their interest towards the audiences of underage spectators.
Through a concise presentation of the form and importance of Juvenile Drama for the Greek educational and theatrical reality from the late 20th century to the appearance of Alki Zei at first, the innovations that were introduced by both writers in the specific field become clear.
During the 60s Alki Zei appeared in the juvenile and adolescent Drama, regenerating it and adding a political and social perspective. A few years later Zorz Sari would make a dynamic entrance in the same field having a similar script and content with intense autobiographical clues. Both writers share many similarities concerning their writing course and their personal biographies.
Subsequently there is a reference to the social and ideological records and to the aesthetical factors that have formed and influenced the dramatic language of both writers, their content as well as why they chose to deal with juvenile Drama. After that there is a holistic presentation of their work into this particular field, of their theatrical writing and their acceptance by the audience. Also a literal and theatrical criticism of the era is also included.
There is moreover, an extensive reference to the presentation, the art-notation, and the plays’ editions as well as to the theatrical adaptations of their novels.
