Summary:
This essay is about the significance of temporary detention to juvenile's future. The aim is to make clear, if there is a conecction between temporary detention and recidivism. For this purpose we gather some qualitative and quantitative findings. We also came in touch with prosecutors, judges and others, in order to find out, what they think about temporary detention. Our conclusion is that there are not enough evidence to relate temporary detention to juvenile recidivisme. However it is common sense that temporary detention, must be the last mesure taken, in order to control juvenile criminality.
