Summary:
Introduction
This study focuses on the signs, symptoms and diseases occuring from the ear, nose, larynx, pharynx and oral cavity during pregnancy.

Purpose - Materials and Method
Aknowledging the shortage of literature on the chapter of otorhinolaryngologic diesases during pregnancy, this study aims to fill this gap resuming all the knowledge on the field. The printed and online literature was reviewed, searching for manifestations from ear, nose, throat and oral cavity in pregnant women. The results were analysed, and based on them was this study composed.

Conclusions
Many normal changes can occur during pregnancy affecting the ears, nose and throat, changing their function. Besides, some diseases of these organs can complicate a pregnancy. This is usual and can lead to a deterioration of quality of life, or even threaten the pregnant woman’s life. A few of these diseases can also provoke obstetrical complications, such as preeclampsia, in-utero growth restriction (IUGR) or severe haemorrage. It is essential for the Obstetrician to early recognize these diseases, inform the pregnant woman and manage these cases, with close monitoring of the pregnancy and with either right and safe choise of medication or by offering an ENT specialist consultation.
