Summary:
The scope of this thesis is the specification and interpretation of the hobbesian right of resistance compared with the lockean notion of revolution. In order to verify if and and to what extent the idea of resistance is enclosed in political disobedience. The investigation explores the state of nature in the work of both philosophers, the way to the social contract and their conceptions about law and policy. Primarily, the textual evidence is exposed that certifying the right of resistance in Leviathan and the political disobedience in Second treatise of Government. With the help of secondary scholar commentary it is attempted to define:
1. The terms, the limits and the consequences in exercise of the hobbesian right of resistance.
2. The conditions of the legal lockean revolution.
3. The relation of the above ideas in combined the valuation of political trust in our days.
