Summary:
This paper is titled "The Sanatoria of Attica 1900-1940". Its purpose is to present the buildings that were created for the problem of Tuberculosis, a social illness, as it can easily be characterized, during the interwar period in Greece and more specifically in Attica.
Particular part of the work occupied by the two largest sanatoriums of Attica during the period 1900 - 1940, which are the Sanatoria Sotiria and the Parnitha Sanatorium, Georgios Stavrou - Georgiou Foug. These two Sanatoria were, as we shall see, the two great boulders in the interwar period, helped society to eradicate TB disease and were helped by it because of the funding they received from wealthy families of the time.
