Summary:
The use of Scratch in the classroom has - according to the literature data - positive effects, either for teaching concepts of programming, or for other subjects. This postgraduate thesis is a case study that investigates the potential that Scratch may have in teaching concepts of Geography, and, also, whether some games and simulations that have been designed with Scratch for teaching the subject of earthquakes could lead to positive results in a high school class.
