The Final Palatial Period in far east Crete: the case of Kato Zakros settlement

Summary:

Principal goal of this PhD study is the reconstruction of the archaeological landscape in far east Crete, during the second half of 15th century B.C. and during the 14th century B.C., after the extended destruction horizon, documented in the major archaeological sites of the region, at the end of the Neopalatial period. The main methodological tools are the study of architectural and stratigraphical data, as well as the the study of the Late Minoan II to Late Minoan IIIA2/early Late Minoan IIIB ceramic deposits from the settlement of Kato Zakros, Siteia.
