The virtue of the obedience to the law philosophically and according to the current law - The timeless stability of the constitutional fair society
Summary:
The subject of the ethical and political consideration of this thesis is upon the philosophical inquiry whether and to what extent the effective and sincere compliance with the dictates of the law on the part of the citizens requires by its nature some kind of acquired virtue, or whether, on the contrary, the typical and external (meaning coincidental) compliance itself suffices for the desirable stability and timelessness of the fair and well-ordered liberal democratic society to be attained. The inquiry that arises is twofold: What kind of obedience do the hypothetically just laws require and have the moral and political legitimacy to require from the citizens in a democratic pluralist society, and, is that kind of obedience indeed capable and sufficient to ensure and guarantee the sustainability and longevity of the just democratic society troughout time?
